LetsTalk.com: Products & Services

People have the need to stay in touch in private life, especially in business, and most of the time they have to do it in an affordable way. Then there are also those who want to pamper themselves with mobile entertainment.   Landline phones apparently are no longer adequate to meet these demands. The United Nations was quoted as saying that there were about 6 billion cell phone subscriptions by the end of 2011-- nearly as many as the world's inhabitants of 7 billions.   Even in 1999, there was already a variety of cell phones, smartphones and mobile devices as well as various cell phone carriers, and it was not easy for people to make the right choice.

This is how LetsTalk.com came into being in 1999. This provider is set to help people in their cellular shopping, providing an extensive selection of wireless products and services.   Its user-friendly site features comparison and Quick Search tools to help people choose the cell phone that best suits their needs, identify the calling plans in their area and select appropriate accessories - all at a great price. In August 2012, LetsTalk.com joined the Brightstar family.   Brightstar Corp. is the world’s largest specialized wireless distributor and a leading global services company, serving mobile device manufacturers, wireless operators and retailers on six continents and with operations in 50 countries and territories.

Based in San Francisco, California, with activation and distribution center in Dallas, Texas and Libertyville, Illinois and national fulfillment center in North Richland Hills, Texas, LetsTalk.com offers online:
- Cell phones of brands/manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Kyocera, BlackBerry, Casio, Huawei, Nokia, Pantech and ZTE;

I haven't experienced the mail in rebate issue, although I have purchased from them a couple of times. Recently I purchased two phones, and received a $200 instant discount taken off each phone at the time of purchase. I received two free phones, two free bluetooth headsets, and free shipping.

This is my second time purchasing my new upgrade from LetTalk.com. How can you not go to this website to purchase a new phone, if it's time for you to upgrade or even switch carriers. I paid $0 for my new Sony Ericsson Xperia (of course had to extend contract for 2 more years) but thats ok I like ATT. Plus shipping was free! Also, get a discount on accessories.  I love Lets Talk and will always shop thru them when it is time for me to upgrade. I would tell anyone to shop Lets Talk.com  Wonderful and easy to maneuver through website choosing your phone, the plan, the additional features and accessories.  Ordered cell October 30 got an email sent to me letting me know phone was shipped Nov 1st!! thats fast service.  Once you are approved and able to upgrade it only takes a few days for Lets Talk to complete order and ship it out.  LOVE Lets Talk.com   Overall delivery speed is also excellent.  Never had to deal with customer service because whenever I  placed my order through Lets Talk and they verified I was able to upgrade, the order was then completed and the order was always what I ordered.  My overall satisfaction is excellent.

Motorola Admiral review (Abridged)
By Dong Ngo, CNET editor
(Review date: Nov. 15, 2011)

Where to Buy
MSRP: $349.99 Low Price: $29.99
Sprint $99.99 - Amazon.com $39.99 - LetsTalk.com $29.99

The good: Running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the Motorola Admiral offers snappy performance, decent call quality, a QWERTY keyboard, and a scratch-resistant 3.1-inch touch screen. It also supports push-to-talk, and its durable design will withstand harsh environments.

The bad: The Motorola Admiral's photo and video quality could be better. The phone comes with just 4GB of internal storage and doesn't support 4G.

The bottom line: Responsive, functional, and tough, the Motorola Admiral makes a great workhorse phone, especially for anyone working in a tough environment. BlackBerry users will also find it a smooth transition if they want to move to the Android platform.

Unlike the fancy and attention-grabbing Motorola Droid Razr, the Motorola Admiral is a middle-of-the-line phone, designed not to wow but to provide a working mobile commutation solution. And it does that job very well, with good call quality and zippy performance.

I also like the ergonomic and durable design that can stand up to dust, shock, solar radiation, vibration, low pressure, and high and low temperatures, and the fact that it's one of Sprint's first Android-based smartphones that brings push-to-talk to its CDMA network. Priced at $100 (after rebate and with a two-year contract), the Motorola Admiral makes a great day-to-day phone for anybody who needs a phone that's low-maintenance and functional…..

Conclusion
The Motorola Admiral is a workhorse smartphone that delivers. While lacking 4G and a few other fancy features found in other smartphones, its good battery life, great performance, ergonomic design, and rugged build help make it a very good companion for those who want a tough yet stylish phone. The phone is especially a good fit for a group who needs real-time communication, thanks to its well-designed Direct Connect feature.

LetsTalk.com: Shipping Rates & Policies

LetsTalk.com strives to ship out orders as soon as possible.   However, while most products are dispatched from LetsTalk.com’s Distribution Center, some ship directly from its referral partners.    Customers should see its customer service policy for more information.   Joined with the Brightstar family, LetsTalk.com caters to customers in over 100 countries.

Orders placed Monday through Saturday by 2:00 p.m. Central Time generally leave LetsTalk.com’s warehouse the next business day.   Orders placed after 2:00 p.m. CST or on Sunday and holidays generally leave its warehouse within 2 business days.   Next business day shipping is contingent upon product availability and service activation.   For orders that include activated service, shipping is also contingent upon a timely and successful credit check and activation.   The carrier that a customer has selected (Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, etc.) must approve the application for new service before a phone can be activated/shipped.   Most phone orders are approved, activated and shipped within the same day.   In some cases, however, the carrier may delay approval due to circumstances beyond LetsTalk.com’s control.   A customer should ensure that his/her order contains an email address that he/she checks regularly or has an SMS messaging device available just in case the carrier requires additional information and LetsTalk.com needs to reach him/her immediately.   Saturday delivery is not available and LetsTalk.com does not ship to P.O./A.P.O/F.P.O Box addresses.   Overnight as well as 1-5-business days Shipping Options are not available for delivery to Hawaii or Alaska.

Once a product has shipped, the customer will receive a shipping confirmation email as well as a shipment tracking number for the order.   The customer can track its status on our website by using the order number provided or via the shipper websites:
FedEx shipments:
www.fedex.com
1-800-GO-FEDEX (1-800-463-3339)
UPS shipments:

The package may not be visible within the shipper's tracking system until several hours after the product leaves LetsTalk.com’s warehouse.

Further details are published here.

LetsTalk.com: Payment Methods Accepted

LetsTalk.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Network and American Express as well as BillMeLater, but presently cannot accept checks or money orders.   Products purchased from LetsTalk.com may be fulfilled/billed by LetsTalk.com or one of its referral partners. LetsTalk.com requires a major credit card, even if the order total is $0, to verify the customer’s identity and protect him/her from false purchases made with his/her personal information.   If the order total is $0, LetsTalk.com will only put a $1 hold on the credit card to make sure it is a valid credit card.   The $1 hold will be released within a week.   LetsTalk.com will only bill against that authorization when the order is shipped.   If the order is cancelled, that authorization/hold will be released.   Each bank determines when this authorization will be released, ranging from within 24 hours to 7 days later.

LetsTalk.com accepts debit cards as payment.   However, the customer should note that an authorization for fund on his/her debit card might look like an actual charge at the time the order is placed.   He/she should feel assured that no fund will be charged to the debit card if the order is cancelled.    Just the same, it may take a few days before the bank releases the authorized fund back.

Orders can also be placed via the phone to LetsTalk.com’s sales representatives, who can be reached at 1-866-TALK-460 (1-866-825-5460) Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT (10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET), Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET), Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET).   Calls received after hours will be returned the following day.
